Seney Pond

by David Bowker

A tiny quiet pond in the middle of a large National Wildlife Refuge attracts all sorts of birds and other wildlife.

This scene is a small portion of a vast area protected for wildlife that particularly attracts migrating birds. Much of the area is covered by marsh and small bodies of water such as this. Rendered in oil paint on canvas, a loose impressionistic style is used.

Ships from United States.

Art is my outlet. It is an outlet for expression - both external and internal. Although I took drawing and painting classes in college and painted during that time, I am largely self-taught. Returning to painting over the last couple years after a lengthy period of inactivity, I discovered that my desire to express myself in paint had not dimmed but instead was stronger than ever.
