Nude - 25-01-16

by Corné Akkers

Graphite pencil (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Canson Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.01 cm - A4 format)

My ever search for dissociation and breaking up a human body into dark and light planes. My sources of inspiration are various but in this case Piet Mondriaan inspired me to divide the canvas into compositionary aesthetic looking planes of light and darkness.

Corné Akkers

1969, born in Nijmegen. My work can be seen in many countries all over the world. Corné employs a variety of styles that all have one thing in common: the ever search for the light on phenomena and all the shadows and light planes they block in. His favorites in doing so are oil paint, dry pastel and graphite pencil.
