Had started out as another painting which I was not happy with. So, I re-gessoed the canvas and painted a black background. I then poured and dripped the acrylic paint in Fall colours at different angles. With a sea sponge, I then dabbed all over the canvas in a fairly uniform manner. As it dried, I turned the canvas until it spoke to me to tell what it wanted to be -- I used my finger to draw in the trees, branches, and water's edge. All of the reflections were already there. I love the bright colours of this piece and that it was done simply and quickly which makes it look very fresh and lively.
A forest or garden pond towards the middle of Fall, when the leaves are most colourful. A strong wind has just come through and blown the leaves onto the surface of the water. I love the bright colours of this piece and that it was done simply and quickly which makes it look very fresh and lively.
