How did you get interested in art?
I have always been interested in art. Since a very young age, I always drew and dreamed of becoming an artist. The dream of course came true! Everyone in our family has an artistic side, my twin sister is a painter and my dad is cartoonist, illustrator and worked in the theater as a puppet maker and scenography artist. Growing up in that kind of artistic environment made a huge impact on who I am today as an artist.
How would you describe your style?
I think evolving is really important in the means of art, you have to explore and be ready to come out of your comfort zone. I don't think my art style is defined yet.
What are your sources for inspiration?
It's easy to find inspiration, I get inspired by the nature, with books I read, other artists, images that I find on the web, people..almost everything, it's impossible not to be inspired, even the blank paper motivates me.
How is the creation process for you?
All of my illustrations are hand drawn, scanned and digitally colored. Rarely I use watercolors because the digital way of finishing the work is easier and lets me focus more on the most important part; on the drawing process. It's just pencil and paper!
Who are your favourite artist?
Favourite artists are the ones that keep bringing new stuff into art, that change the way we think..one of the artist that I admire is the work of Paula Bonet.
What do you do besides being an artist?
Luckily I have a dream job, I work from home and have clients mostly from USA, for the last 5 years I'm working as a graphic designer for customized event apparel.
My favourite quote to live by is "work hard and stay humble"
