This project included 3 distinct skylines and included interacting with employees through drawing, and their input through a tailor-crafted survey.

Lobby This skyline drawn in the then newly renovated 100-year-old office space of CASA located on Horsens’s harbor included some 30 different projects created by the company. In the business of construction, property management and development, it was natural to compose a skyline that incorporated highlights from CASAs major projects as well as iconic buildings from Horsens. Hand-drawn, the composition grows organically; often talking with people when they would exchange questions about the method or propose their own ideas for buildings to include.

Floor 2 This drawing took inspiration from a tailor-made survey Daniel van der Noon asked to the employees who worked on the floor. With the intention of creating something of a mirror of the environment; that is a reflection of the hopes, dreams and memories of the employees articulated through spaces, places and buildings the drawing evolved into something of a collective utopia. In the skyline we can see parts of Norway, umbria, Amsterdam, Pisa, Naples, Aarhus, London, Shanghai and lots of other details which you pick up on on closer inspection.

Floor 3 This is what happens when Daniel draws freestyle. Buildings from past present and future, real and imagined emerge from the pen and build up sprawling environments of this world and other worlds. At their core, the murals are created with the intention of enthusing others to also take up a task of endurance; such drawings are instilled with an energy which is to reflect back on to those looking into them (and hopefully draw themselves!).
