Standing Fist

by Wanjin GIM

50 x 70 cm|Limited edition 30 pcs.

The prominent characteristics of my works are color and detailed expression. Such way of expression needs intensive labor but I feel delighted and blissful in the way of expression, and I believe that such bliss is conveyed to the audience. It seems that I focused on description in the expression, but what I am really interested in is the vacant space surrounding it. Or the relationship between the drawing and the blank! I work thinking of how the parts of the human body, which are described in detail on a screen, harmonize with the margins and what can be implied in the harmony and balance. I explore how to turn a 'target' into a 'phenomenon' through the relationship between the figure and the margin. Sometimes, I reflect ‘coincidence’ in my work through the ground coloring with watercolor paints.

Print quality

We always use the best suited print quality. This particular campaign will be produced as Premium 310g certified giclee print.

Giclée prints are a revolutionary new way of accurately reproducing paintings, drawings or artwork, and has become very popular with artist wishing to sell their art to a wider audience. The word Giclée ("g-clay"), is derived from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt or spray", Giclée, is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based high quality inks with archival quality paper to achieve Giclée prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability. The quality of the Giclée print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photography galleries.

Art is about moving people and that most definitely

shouldn’t be a privilege for the few.
