Robert Reece was influenced by Serra, Twombly, Richter, Motherwell, Feininger, and Pollack as well as being rooted in cubism and graffiti. Robert was always immersed in art. Some of his earliest memories are of his mother, an award-winning watercolorist, teaching painting classes in their home when he was a child. Her college textbooks on Art History, Color Theory, and Perspective would turn out to be Robert's primary education in art. He went on to receive degrees in Visual Communication, Cinema Studies, and eventually his doctorate in Creative Writing. Reece is an interdisciplinary artist - working as a musician, photographer, published poet, produced screenwriter, and painter - whose works are in private collections in the US and abroad.
