I was born in Washington State, raised in Seattle. I’ve always had a desire to create art, but my real passion began in college when an art professor —recognizing my talents — encouraged me to create large pieces of work and experiment with various media.
After moving to Los Angeles, I continued to explore new works in many media. From a concept I had years earlier, and researching historical cave paintings and petroglyphs, I developed new work through a mix of unique texturing and ancient symbols in my latest series, "Origins". This new series appeared in an exhibition for the first time at the James Coleman Gallery in 2008.
Soon after I created a series of work that represents Route 66 — an historic road reaching from the Midwest to the Pacific Ocean, ending at the Santa Monica Pier. I employed different styles and techniques that I thought best represented early Americana.
