Veljko Martinovic was born in 1963 in Belgrade, Serbia. He studied technical science in Subotica. He is engaged in painting from the earliest days, and has appeared in independent and group exhibitions in the country and abroad.
He was also interested in caricature and made many book cover illustrations.
In 1996 he was living in New York where he successfully exhibited his art works.
Architect and great artist and art historian Jugoslav Janjic says that Veljko Martinovic's paintings have the strength of a volcano, and at the same time a calm that leads to thinking.
Inspired by the concept of freedom and fantasy, universe and life, he is mostly recognized by his large abstract paintings.
The work of Veljko Martinovic can be found in art galleries and private collectors.
Veljko is also one of the founders of several art associations.
He lives and works in Belgrade, as a full time independent artist.
