Social girl

by Irene Raspollini

Unique art|9.8 x 13.8 in

Social networks and mobile phones are more and more invasive in our lives. This artwork wants to represent how this can influence so much our beliefs and our values: once people wore tshirts with heroes depicted, now the new hero is...a thumb up ;-).

Born in Siena the 14th of August 1982, I'm a self taught artist. I deal mainly with painting and mail art, but recently I discovered sculpture, graphics and both analogic and digital photography. My favourite media are acrylics, watercolours and self produced pygments, but also found objects, recycling materials and old '30s magazines. I'm art director at "Casa Là - Farm Gallery", a free and independent gallery fot underground artists. My works have been shown in solo and collective exhibitions in Italy and in UK, and features in private collection in Australia, Italy, United Kingdom and United States.

Love it. Hate it.
