Marcel has been inspired by Marcel Cerdan, the great love of Edith Piaf and world champion french boxeur who tragically died in a plane crash.

Big painting made on paper applied on board. The painting has been framed with a vintage, scratched ornate frame. Marcel the boxeur is a bit worried for his next boxing match. How can he plan the best strategy to beat his rival? His mother maybe is a boxe expert, because the first thing that he thought is to ask his mother for advice :-)!

Born in Siena the 14th of August 1982, I'm a self taught artist. I deal mainly with painting and mail art, but recently I discovered sculpture, graphics and both analogic and digital photography. My favourite media are acrylics, watercolours and self produced pygments, but also found objects, recycling materials and old '30s magazines. I'm art director at "Casa Là - Farm Gallery", a free and independent gallery fot underground artists. My works have been shown in solo and collective exhibitions in Italy and in UK, and features in private collection in Australia, Italy, United Kingdom and United States.

Love it. Hate it.
