I just love low key. I love the way you can hide some details, while keeping others perfectly exposed. I went looking for interesting things with interesting shapes when I took this photo of a violin.

Photography was a happy accident for me. I studied graphic design at Lakeland Community College in Ohio. Photography was one of my required courses. I didn't want to do it, so I took an accelerated class in the summer. We worked with film. When you develop film on paper, you can watch the image appear like magic before your eyes. That was all it took to get me hooked. After that class, which was in 2007, all I wanted to do was photography. Since then, I continued to study photographic techniques both in the field and in books. Photography never gets old for me. My passion for the art shines in my work.
