Ode to the harpsichord - 14-04-17 (sold)

by Corné Akkers

Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Canson Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.01 cm - A4 format)I was invited for a hapsichord concert at the home of one of my students. She lives in a typical dutch classic 17th century house at an old canal with tiles coming straight from a painting by Vermeer. The opportunity was too good to let it pass by, so I drew the scene.

Corné Akkers

1969, born in Nijmegen. My work can be seen in many countries all over the world. Corné employs a variety of styles that all have one thing in common: the ever search for the light on phenomena and all the shadows and light planes they block in. His favorites in doing so are oil paint, dry pastel and graphite pencil.

Love it. Hate it.
