Co-creation with the locals

By basing the project on a long and ongoing dialogue and co-creation with the residents of the building, Pålsson was able to include a lot of local history in the design. As part of the project, Pålsson spoke with a lot of local residents from the building as well as local historians to learn more about the area and find out what he could draw inspiration from.

History brought to life

The decoration is based on the old Ladegaards Aa (Ladagaards stream) which used to flow in that exact spot but is now directed through pipes underground. The large waves on the building are accompanied by plaques by each of the entrances that contain historical photographs of Ladegaards Aa and tells the story of the area.
